As the corona regulations still apply, we won't plan any meetings until things change. Instead, we will organise On-Lino Campo!, online meetings and celebrations around the festivals.
We will keep you updated through our newsletter (click here to subscribe), our website, and of course via Facebook.
Our ever popular Campo! Beltane Drum Camp is happening 6th to 11th May 2020. Beltane is traditionally seen as the start of summer. We will gather in a beautiful part of rural mid Devon for five days of drumming, creating and holding rituals, workshops, relaxing, socialising, laughter, games, evening activity and singing around the camp fire, entertainment, nature walks, and most definitely eating!
Drumming will be the key activity of the camp and drummers of all abilities from absolute beginner onwards are welcome. There will be several sessions of drumming each day at "Drum O'Clock" and evening around the camp fire. Please note that the principal drumming genre will be energetic African djembe rather than a shamanic frame drum style.
It will be best to bring your own drum, but even if you cannot do this there should be some drums available for you to use. You can also choose not to drum.
As the camp is being hold at Beltane we will have the opportunity to celebrate this special time of year.
We will be hosted by Beech Hill Community, Mid Devon and we have exclusive use of a large comfortable communal lounge, and of a very well-fitted kitchen. There is limited indoor accommodation in shared rooms available. Otherwise you can camp in the level paddock. There will be wood available for fires and burners.
The paddock and outdoor fire area is not really suitable for people with major mobility needs due to the soft ground and gentle slope, although the interior space in the house is on one level with one step at the external door and a step into the showers. We are well suited for most dietary needs, and our chefs have experience to cater for all kinds of dietary needs. Our booking form explicitly asks for dietary and other special needs.
If you have concerns about accessibility, we'd love to chat with you, please contact us or call Mx Brown on: (+44) (0)7974 554 456.
